Kenosha Pass - Fall Colors

Seeing Aspen Leaves turning in Colorado is a big activity for many.

Aspen trees bring brilliant colored leaves when the temperature dips and summer passes. For nature enthusiasts and photographers, the turning colors is a great time to be in the mountains. In Colorado, a keen spot for seeing leaves is Kenosha Pass, which is a quick 80 minute drive from downtown Denver. Kenosha pass offers a large collection of Aspen groves both adjacent to the highway and on the ridges allowing for some very impressive views. The area can be very busy due to it’s easy highway access and plentiful leaves to be peeped.

Best time for fall color leaves is late September to mid October. A warmer summer and early September is a factor that may delay the colors.
